2 coats of Zoya's Nidhi~ there are beautifulllllll gold glitter flecks in the polish that my camera didnt pick up.

here is a nail wheel i painted the other day:

its [obviously] Mickey Mouse + Minnie Mouse inspired~ im painting a nail set for someone & this was her requested theme.

im currently in the works of painting nails sets to sell :) so if anyone is interested in purchasing nail sets, let me know so i can work a bit faster . haha i'll have an etsy shop up soon :)

EZ French Nails review;

hello :) today, i have a small review to share~

a few weeks ago, i was contacted by Raquel over at EZ French Nails to do a review on their quick and easy french nail tips.

this is what i received...

a booklet & applicator.

the booklet contains 9 pages of varying sizes of nail tips for both oval and rounded-squared nails. these pictures were taken after i already did my mani .. thats why there are some stickers missing. and i only took pictures of 6 random pages..

the applicator looks like a pen but it isnt! haha. its a needle tip that helps pick up the nail tip stickers.

here were my end results;

awkward side picture to show how nice and flat the nail tips were. :P i did add one layer of top coat over (top coat is optional).

im not gunna lie, it took me almost 5 minutes to get my first tip on .. but after that, applying the rest of the tips were a piece of cake! its really easy to do once you get the hang of it. (there is also a video provided on the EZ French Nails website on how to apply the tips.) im not someone who usually likes doing french tips on my nails .. but i was wow-ed and in love! with my french mani. my mani lasted almost 2 days, which is what the EZ French Nails website states. the one and only thing i didnt like about my mani was the shape of the curve of the thumb nail; maybe its just my personal preference, but i would've liked it more if the curve wouldve been a bit more curved and less straight.

overall, i was impressed with the EZ French Nail Tips. they were easy to use, super fast to apply, and the best part - - they dont smell! :)

hi! -cant believe its been a little over a month since my last post. i have today off work & i dont have a list of errands to run, so i decided to drop by. i hope everyone has been well ~

i honestly havent been doing much to my nails lately; for some odd reason, my nails have become brittle & they split easily ... and its really sad :( im trying out a new base coat right now, but if anyone has any suggestions to good, strengthening base coats, please feel free to share :)

going on a brief hiatus;

hi.

from the beginning, when i first started my blog, i told myself "im only going to blog for fun. once i feel like blogging has become a chore or a job, im going to stop." - - i've reached that point.

dont get me wrong, i've really enjoy blogging and i am ever so thankful that you guys are always so sweet & supportive, but for the past two months, i havent been having fun with blogging. it really has become like a chore. and people are constantly nagging me. and im not enjoying the emails either; so to anyone who has emailed me in the past month ... you probably wont be getting a response. sorry.

im not going to leave this blog, i promise. i'll miss it too much if i do leave it. but im "going on a brief break" ... not going to worry about this blog for a while. i might randomly pop in every once in a while until i get back into the blogging spirit.

also, i just wanna thank everyone who has been nice & patient all this time, im realllllly thankful.

but for now, this is it.

Crackle FX Polish Review

hi everyone!

it sure has been a while since my last post. last week was a busy week for me & then i was sick over the weekend as well, so i didnt have the time to post. but im better now! so today, i bring you a review!

a few weeks back, the very sweet Nicole of Pink Nails emailed me and asked if i wanted to review some Crackle FX Polishes.

she kindly sent me three bottles for a review:

Sky Blue, White, & Black.

Nicole also sent me a letter with some tips for using the Crackle FX polishes. she suggested to wait until the base coat & nail polish are both done drying before applying the crackle polish...and that Crackle FX is supposed to give a matte look, so to not apply top coat over it.

one coat of Sky Blue over 2 coats of China Glaze's Sea Spray. no top coat.

just for fun, i applied top coat on my middle & pinky nail.

one coat of White over 2 coats of China Glaze's Sea Spray. no top coat.

again, top coat on both middle & pinky nail.

here is one coat of Black over ...i forget what polish im using as base X_____X

and here is with top coat on middle & pinky nail.

im not a big fan of crackle/shatter polishes, but overall, i liked these. White was my favorite~

2nd Outing with Rachel

on Thursday, i went on my second outing with Rachel~ we first stopped at a Japanese book store where we picked up cute Pa polishes. i must mention that half the store had Hello Kitty stuff...i was so excited! :) after that, we had sushi for lunch & talked about LOTS of stuff :P & we also went to a bakery. everything was so cute. haha then we spent the rest of the day driving around town, going to a few beauty supply stores + Meijers.

it was another fun day :) here's my mini haul..

at the top, my two Pa polishes; A109 + A50. from l-r: Studio M's De-Luxe-Cious, Gosh's Holographic, Essie's Barbuda Banana + Looking For Love, China Glaze's Recycle, Rainstorm, & Wagon Trail.

i'd like to mention that i got Holographic from Rachel. she's so awesome :)

Essie’s Barbuda Banana + Studio M’s Sex Symbol. Barbuda Banana is definitely not B3F & application was kinda sucky. but i didnt expect too much from a yellow polish. i used 3 coats of BB in this picture.

Recent Manis

ok, well, not too recent. the following manis were done some time between yesterday & 2 weeks ago :P

this is Joe Fresh's Powder Blue & Sally Hansen’s White On.

for this mani, the pink is Etude House’s PK010, the silver glitter is Studio M’s Sex Symbol, the white is Sally Hansen’s White On, and then black acrylic paint.

i used China Glaze's Secret Peri-Wink-Le for the tips & the pink is Essie's Beach Party.

Nina Ultra Pro's Black, Wet n Wild's The Gold & The Beautiful, & that dark, burnt copper-ish color is Pure Ice's Magic.

as you can tell, i was in a polka dot mood. haha k, thats all the manis i have to share for now!

im excited for tomorrow because im going on another outing with Rachel! :) we're gunna have lots of fun!

Manis & Reviews

as promised, i would be back to post about my manis from the packages that i got last month.

here's a random mani i did. i used OPI's What's With The Cattitude? & Ogre-The-Top Blue with a white polish.

i used one of my new brushes that i received from Born Pretty Store. let me just say that these brushes are perfect for nail art! they're so nice, small, & thin ... perfect!!

in this next mani, i used the pink polish that i received from Younique Nails. this polish is called American Sweet Heart; a very sheer pastel pink. you cant tell from the picture, but its supposed to be a gradient. you can tell it was a gradient irl. i loooove the color :) the glitter was Cover Girl's Disco Dazzle.

*just a reminder that Younique Nails dropped the prices of their polishes down from $13.90 to $10.90! :D

SS501 inspired mani

hi~

first things first...i just wanna mention that i finally got a new layout for my blog. its super simple & thats how i prefer it :P im not done putting in new links & what not, but hopefully it'll be done shortly :)

next, my mani! it's been a while since i last had a kpop inspired mani. but today, i bring you another one.

this is my SS501 - A Song Calling For You mv inspired mani! there's a reason why i specifically did this mani is because ... two years ago, around the end of February onto early March, i got into kpop. i fell in love with SS501 through this music video & so i just wanted to make a mani in celebration of my 2nd year into kpop! :) ~~omg. i cant even imagine what my life would be if i hadn’t got into kpop. haha~~

on my nails… i didnt put my SS as close together as it is in the mv. & i couldnt find the right shade of dark yellow-orange for the font :( on my pointer, i have a checkered pattern from the floor tiles of the second picture. next, the black dress is supposed to be like the dress that girl in the 3rd picture is wearing. then i have the cute cardigan & bow tie design is on my ring finger. & i bet you’re confused about my pinky design huh? haha. thats supposed to be the garage door & that black thing is supposed to be part of the car :P i didnt include Jungmin [who is the guy in the last picture] in my mani but i still left him in this picture anyway :)

p.s. dont laugh at how ridiculously sloppy my checkered design & “garage” design is..i rushed through those two.

lastly, if you follow me on twitter, you'll notice that yesterday i was complaining about school. once i finish this semester, i'll get my associates in general studies... so i really need to finish this semester out well. for the first half of this semester, i felt like i had school under control. i worked out a nice study schedule & what not & im actually doing well in my classes. but just on Tuesday, my online money management class started & im already feeling overwhelmed. i have homework due tonight, 4 assignments due Friday night, 2 tests due Sunday night, and a project to start - AND THIS IS ONLY MY FIRST WEEK OF CLASS!! im kinda freaking out because i dont think i can manage everything anymore. i know online classes are harder but this is the toughest online class i've had yet & im really freaking out. gahh, i hate school! and not to mention, i have two midterms tomorrow. :(

im done complaining now. i need to finish my homework & finish studying!

Hauls & Polish Hunting with Rachel

so i spent my Tuesday morning & early-afternoon on a polish hunt with Rachel of Rachel's Marie's Nails :) we stopped by 3 different stores, bought lots of polishes, chatted about ourselves & polishes [of course!], and got bubble teas to drink. :)

Some Random Manis

hi!~ i havent had a mani post in a while. i've lacked lots & lots & lots of inspiration lately so i've been doing nothing but simple/boring stuff.

i forget what pinks i used here. but i HATED this mani so much, i took it off the day after i finished it.

black matte + shiny leopard print + rhinestones & pearls. i liked this one. too bad it didnt last a full day at work :X

i think this is 4 coats of China Glaze's White Cap; 3 would have been fine but i went with 4 anyway. let me just say.. i LOVE White Cap!!~ these pictures dont do any justice.

yea, i think im done here. :P hope you're enjoying your weekend! its snowing like CRAZYYY here in Michigan...looks like i'll be home for the rest of today :P

Fail Manis & Important Info

hi! :)

ok, this first fact of the matter is really not important. haha. but i would like to mention that i finally made a facebook page for my nail stuff. if you would like to "like" it..then feel free~ click here for a link to fb. i havent done anything fancy to it yet...just some nail art & my fugly banner... haha. one day, i'll put better stuff on there and add a like button to the side of my blog here.. but for now, thats it~

Miss A is a newer girl group that came out some time last year i believe. an anonymous person on formspring kindly suggested for me to do a mani that was inspired by Miss A's Breath music video...i got this far and then i stopped.

here's the mani i have on right now..

3 coats of Milani's Fresh Teal. the polish is REALLY not this peacock blue-ish shade irl. its more teal...but this picture sucks. boo T___T if you couldnt tell, its supposed to be Agent P aka Perry The Platypus..from Phineas and Ferb. [ yes, i still watch Disney Channel. dont judge me :P ] i dont like how this turned out...my sister said Perry looks really mad. HAHA -_____-

uhm, the tribal print thing has been going around tumblr for a while so i decided to give it a try. i kinda like it.

here's a realllllllllllly short video tutorial of my gold glitter gradient from a while ago.

i know there's other ways of doing a glitter gradient, but this is the way i do mine :P and i know, the quality sucks. oh well.

HoMin inspired mani

hi~ i've been a little m.i.a. this past week. not much happened for me...but i just never got around to posting.

here's the mani i did some time earlier this week...

this is another kpop inspired mani. this one was inspired by HoMin's outfits from their 110116 performance. HoMin isnt really their name... their real group name is DBSK but long story short, i call them HoMin.

i think this was 2 coats of Zoya's Harley for my thumb & 2 coats of Rimmel's Black Satin. lets not talk about how long it took me to do the design for my ring & pointer fingers. omg. and look at how sloppy my "always keep the faith" is!! T_________T

Youniqe Nails Review

a few weeks back, the wonderfully kind people at Younique Nails sent me two bottles of their AQmore polishes to review.

i bet you're wondering what AQmore polishes are... well, they are water-based nail polishes. the polish is made up of 50% water! [if you click on "AQmore polishes" there is a link that will take you to the site and will provide you with more details of what AQmore polishes are all about.] and with the AQmore polishes, you do not use a base coat and should use their AQmore line of top coats.

on to pictures~

arent these beautiful? the bottles are so adorable! Bloom Pink and Gold Sand are shown above.

a little piece of foam was also sent in the package. all you do is try your AQmore polish and a regular polish. in this picture, this was one coat of Gold Sand and once coat of OPI's What's With The Cattitude?. you can see that WWTC pretty much melted the foam... or as i like to say, it "ate" the foam. [haha]. i was so wowed by this!

4 coats of Golden Sand and 1 coat of Bloom Pink. yea, this is 4 coats, but i loooove this color so much, i didnt care! plus, the drying time was great. Bloom Pink is [obviously] just a clear top coat and inside the bottle is a little flower - so adorable!

click on this picture if you wanna see a bigger view of it. just something to mention, the gold specks are a bit more noticeable in real life.

i will say that the top coat does not dry as quickly as the polish itself. so you have to wait a little longer after you apply the top coat.

something that i really, really like about these is the smell. remember how i said the polishes are 50% water-based, well, because of that, this polish does not smell like regular nail polish! it smells kind of like Elmer's glue but the smell isnt too strong. the top coat -to me- smells like a very light smell of spray paint.. but my sisters both say that the top coat smells like Seche Vite's top coat, but not as strong. but what is even more awesome is that...when you apply the AQmore top coat onto your nails, the smell of the "glue" immediately disappears. then, you'll be able to smell the "spray paint"/"lighter version of Seche Vite's top coat" for a quick instant and then the smell quickly disappears too. this, totally, wowed me!

ok. another thing to mention...AQmore has a "peel-off" removal, where you can just peel off the color. and it works amazingly! it came off in one peel -maybe 2 or 3 peels on some nails- and it did not lift or peel any layers of my nails! -again, totally wowed~!

i got a lot of compliments on my polish color and i really loved the color so much, i wore it for a second time a few days after my first time. [and i hardly ever wear a polish alone -without a design- ... let alone the same polish twice! haha] im not exactly sure how long the polish is supposed to last, but it did last me 2 days each time i wore it, before i picked it off :P i was told that the polish might not stay on well the first time of application because it did not stay on well for some people, but it stayed on well for me!~

i can honestly say that i love their products. although $13.90 is not in my usual price range for polishes, i would reconsider it for more of the AQmore polishes.

Good News, Bad News, & Blue Mani

hiiii~

thanks for sending my computer & i lots of love in my last post. thank goodness my computer was fixed so quickly - - - thats the good news :)

on to the bad news..my nails are - for real - nubbins! T_________T i had a rip going on my middle finger..and so i had to chop my nails down. this is, seriously, the shortest i've had my nails in years!! my usual "nubbins" are not ever this short..so this length is totallllly new to me!

ok, now we're moving on to the blue mani...

just something boring & simple. 2 coats of OPI's Ogre The Top Blue & 3 coats of Hard Candy's Sky. let me tell you...Sky is a BEAUTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my pictures honestly suck & complete washes out the beauty that Sky is. Sky is more of a baby blue color and has the slightest, most beautiful blue shimmer. i really fell in love with Sky :P

Bad News, Pink Mani, & Award

hi~ so i have to start this post with the bad news..sorry!

so, on Monday, my computer died. we're currently trynna get it fixed..but all my files are gone. so, my pictures of swatches & manis..and other pictures..they're all gone. im not sure how long its gunna be before my computer gets fixed, but i just wanted to let you know. [im currently on my sisters netbook. its rather slow T__T]

so, onto my pink mani. i did this one i think on Saturday or Sunday. i posted it up on tumblr but didnt get to post it up on here yet. but since my computer died, the only picture that i have of this mani is the one with my tumblr tag on it..oh well..here it is.

hmmm, seven things about myself?..

1. i am a caffeine addict. every morning, i must have a cup of coffee or else i have caffeine withdrawals. im not even kidding. i get the worse migraines throughout the days that i dont drink my morning coffee. plus, there is always a 2 liter bottle of pop in my house.

2. i am have the worse luck in the world. i NEVERRRRR win anything, something is always going wrong, and something worse always happens. i know some people have the best luck out there, but please, share me some!!!! it would be nice to win something every once in a while, ya know? haha

3. my biggest pet peeve is repition. i cannot begin to tell you how much i hate repeating myself..and especially, how much i hate hearing something being repeated. hate. hate. hate. hate.

4. i hate almost everything and everyone. you probably wouldnt believe how much i hate everything & everyone. i dont like to open myself up to people ~~because this world is fully of shitty people and you cant ever tell who to trust & who not to~~ but i'll talk to people... and i'll be nice to them... but i dont like them.

5. i dont mind doing things for people, but just ask me. i HATE it SOOOOO much when people TELL me to do things.

6. i dont like seeing people i know in public - especially if that someone is someone who i graduated with. HAHA. i will turn the opposite direction if i see someone i know...and i will definitely pretened like i dont see them. yupp, im shady. :P

7. i really wish i was a dedicated student again. i was an all A student in high school and now im a bigggggo slacker in college. it really aggrivates me but i cant seem to find the dedicated student in me anymore T__T

MBLAQ - Stay mv inspired

thats right...another kpop inspired mani! - i actually did these at the beginning of last week but i've been too lazy to post. o__O

i kinda feel bad for having so many kpop inspired manis lately..but those are the only things that are inspiring me~ so until i find other inspirations, you might be seeing more kpop ones :P

the boy group that this mani was inspired by is MBLAQ. they debuted a day before Beast did, in 2009. [you remember Beast right? one of my favorite group that i talk about a LOT? haha] anyway, MBLAQ just had a comeback with a new album & 2 new music videos; one for this song, Stay, & the other song, Cry. i really like Stay..so yupp.

Secret - Shy Boy mv inspired

i've been thinking about whether or not to post this mani or not. i didnt do a good job on it so thats why i didnt wanna post it...but i havent updated a while either... but here i am, posting it up. gahhh! dont laugh at me for this mani.. T_____T

Secret is a kpop girl group who debuted in 2009. my sister likes their music but i wasnt a big fan of them until recently. their lead singer -who is also the lead girl in the mv- is just sooo pretty & she sings so well~! and right after i started liking them, they came out with a new song!

the song is super catchy & girly, its so cute! haha their manis in the mv are so awesome too! you cant really see their manis well in my picture..but if you watch the mv for a little bit, you'll see it better. ergh. i just wish i wouldnt have screwed up my mani! erghhh!! look, i couldnt even make nice dots with my dotting stick! sad.

Just Some Reminders

hi everyone! this is my first post of 2011 and i dont even have a mani to show ya! ='( like i've said recently, i've pretty much had all inspiration & creativity drenched outta me...so my nails are bare right now o___O although...i do have a smalllll inspiration in my head right now... we'll see how that goes :)

FT Island - I Hope mv inspired

two kpop inspired mani's in one week? wow.

today i bring you a band that i havent talked about before, FT Island. they have been in the kpop industry for about.. 3 years now, and yet they're still slightly underrated. because FT Island is an actual boy band group & the kpop industry is more for boy groups who dance, FT Island isnt noticed as much ... although FTI probably has some of the most talent out there. and their lead singer Hongki has one of the best voices in the kpop industry - he sings soooo perfectly live too!! ♥ anyway, let me end my ranting here & show you the mani~

this is inspired from FT Island's I Hope - which they promoted last year. yes i know, i have such bad screen caps T____T and those silver lines are supposed to be the outlines of their guitars. omg, my FT Island writing is so sloppy! my left hand was extraaa shaky :(

Beast - Bad Girl mv inspired

we all know by now that my favorite kpop group is Beast right!? haha well, here's a simple mani i did last night. Bad Girl was their debut song & its such a catchy song. since i only have 5 fingers on one hand & there are 6 members in Beast, you'll notice that i included all 6 members in the picture above. haha

ok, now i have a question: what is the max amount of polishes one should send out in a package? im sending my friends -who live in Malaysia- a package of polishes...and altogether, i have about 30 polishes for them. but i dont want to send all 30 out at once cause that just sounds like too much!...right? so i was thinking i'll send half first..and then i'll send out the other half another time.... ? what do you think?

Blue Gradient + Snowflakes

finals are done with, the semester is done with, the snow is ever so slowlyyy melting, & i have a new mani!~

i used China Glaze's Shower Together, Atlantis, & Fairy Dust. i also added a few random big glitters. i did free-hand those snowflakes, which was a pain cause it took a super steady hand & im impatient. hehe.

im actually kinda upset that the gradient looks so ugly in the picture; i dont know why the blues are different tones :/ but believe me, the gradient looks much better irl. - - - - oh well.

can you believe Christmas is already next Saturday?!?!?! i have not even bought one single present yet!!! o____O im super behind this year. i might go shopping this weekend though~ haha

Beast Airline Inspired Mani

i was lacking inspiration for my nails last week so thats why i didnt post often last week. as of right now, i am lacking inspiration as well..but hopefully something will come to me soon~

on Saturday night though, i did quickly find inspiration & so here i have another kpop-ish mani to share~ this one was inspired by Beast's first concert theme - which was Beast Airline.

the concert was on Sunday night & was only in Seoul, South Korea so -clearly & sadly- i couldnt make it T_____T

the green polish is 2 coats of OPI's Jade Is The New Black. p.s., dont laugh at my fugly design on my ring finger. haha =/

Big Bang & 2NE1 Lollipop Inspired

Happy Monday~

i bring you another kpop inspired mani today; yes, i know ... i've been doing a lot of kpop inspired manis lately. ha. ha.

an anonymous person on formspring + someone on tumblr asked me to do a mani inspired by Big Bang & 2NE1's Lollipop. although im not a big fan of Big Bang, i do enjoy their music. 2NE1 on the other hand, i do really like. so spunky & different, they are. :) so onto the mani~

im so upset that the design on my pinky & thumb on my right hand turned out sooo badly. it really bothers me T__T and, i couldnt find any nice, HD music videos so the screen caps are super bad quality :'( its also killing me inside that the order of the girls in the picture isnt the same order as they are on my mani; but hey, thats just my tad bit of OCD kicking in. haha

i would also like to mention that the two lollipops are from my awesome package from Born Pretty Store. and the black bow on my pointer finger on my left hand is from a mold that i also got from BPS.

Pinks, Polka Dots, & Bunnies

hiyeom!~ another short post for today.

the dark pink is 3 coats of F21's Love & Beauty Salmon. the light pink is 4 coats of Ulta's Sweet Tart. yes, sadly i had to use 4 coats. the polish is SO pretty but its kinda a streaky mess. the white polish i used is 4 coats of Revlon's Powder Puff. ugh, i hate having to use 4 or more coats of polish!!! T_____T but i loooove Powder Puff! theres a beautiful, slight blue flash in the polish! too bad it had a whole mess of bubbles when i woke up the next morning =/

the bunnies on my thumb & pointer finger are part of a recent package i got from Born Pretty Store.

my many, new fimo sticks! the package i received came with little special cutting knife things. cutting fimo sticks isnt really hard, just aim to cut a really thin piece!

Inque Nails Review

hi again! i have a review for you today~ :)

Kevin of Inque Nails kindly sent me a sample of customized nail stickers and im here to share with you.

over at Inque Nails, you can literally customize your very own nails however you want to! any design, any pattern, any color, any way!! when i realized that ANY design will work, i thought of something crazy! i ended up putting faces for as my design! being the kpop freak that i am, i put my favorite person on my nails ;) wanna see how awesome they turned out!? ...

awesome right!? :) [irl, his face doesnt look so stretched out.] i ended up putting on fake nails & then applying the stickers on top because i have little nubbins right now :P

the stickers come on a sheet like this;

once you peel them off, they backs are sticky & you just apply them to your nails. the stickers itself are thick and strong so that was a bonus. the sizes were a the only problem...but you can just apply which ever part of the nail sticker you like onto your nail and then cut & adjust the size...thats what i did. - - this was a problem that was done by me; see how i put his faces at the top of the nails [on the sticker sheet]? it wouldve been better if i put his face closer to the bottom cause my nails arent really that long :P besides for that, these babies are so awesome!

just got done eating a pre-Thanksgiving dinner with the fam! always so much fun :) im super tired cause i worked a full day today before the family festivities but ... hey, im off to a 4-day weekend now!

anyone going Black Friday shopping? this year will be my first year & im not sure how its gunna go. it'll probably be very HECTIC & CRAZY...but i'll just punch a few people who get in my way. haha. kidding :)

Mani Catch Up

hello, hello! its time to play catch up on manis again! :P

alright, first, from 2 weeks ago, i bring you...

3 coats of Color Club's Wild And Willing. the polish looks so much prettier in the bottle. its a copper/pink/burnt orange duochrome.

here's a picture in the shade; the duochrome-ness is more visible. the stamps are from Born Pretty Store's m14 & Konad's m69. on the middle finger, i layered one coat of Sinful Colors' Pearl Harbor. its barely noticeable though.

3 coats of Orly's famous Space Cadet. is there anyone else who doesnt love Space Cadet? cause really, i DO NOT like it. *shrugs.

shade picture; more visible duochrome-ness again. stamps are used from the same plates as i mentioned before. and the middle finger is, also, layered in one coat of SC Pearl Harbor.

*side note; eww. i hate my nails that long T__T

Love-Hate Mani

^^ thats something that my favorite, cute Korean boy always says. along with "bye-yeom~" i think im gunna start using those two more often now :)

here is a mani that i had on in the beginning of the week;

3 coats of Maybelline's Pink Sombrero. the polish is slighty squishy & jelly like, but its super cute!

on my ring finger, i used a 3d acrylic bow that i received from Born Pretty Store to review. might i add again, I LOVE THE 3D ACRYLIC MOLDS!!!! :)

this mani, i had a love-hate relationship with. at some times when i looked at my nails, i liked them. and then at other times, i just really hated them! i dont know why :P

oh, by the way... guess who has two thumbs and got her first Helmer today? MEEEEE :) guess i'll be rearranging my polishes tomorrow :)

Born Pretty Store items Review + Free Gifts

long post ahead, but i have great news at the end of this post so bear with me :)

as promised, today i am going to share with you a review about the items from my awesome package. Jessica over at Born Pretty Store was ever-so generous and sent my a beautiful package to review.

starting with the nail polishes..

NL B26, NL B32, & NL B33.

NL B26, two coats shown. the site describes this polish as "brown" but its not.. its a pretty, dusty-mauve-ish color with tinyyy gold flecks.

NL B32, three coats. the site calls this color "gray" but thats not very accurate either. this one is tons of gold glitter with lots of red and turquoise-y glitters.

NL B33, three coats. beautiful, dark turquoise with silver flecks.

the bottles and brushes are pretty small; my hands look huuuge in the pictures above. haha. the bottle contains 8ml of polish; although the brush is short, it was easy to work with; application was great for all the polishes. there was one thing that i didnt like about the polish - the smell. the polish smells like a nail salon; so it literally smelt like nail polish and lots of acrylic. i had to paint my nails outside because i didnt want the house to smell like acrylic [my parents wouldve killled me!]

Born Pretty Store nail polishes run at $3.19 a bottle and they have over 45 different colors.

onto the image plates & the acrylic molds...

i used image plate m39 in my not-so-Halloween mani-

let me start out by saying that the acrylic molds are my favorite! they're so easy to use and they are so cute! in my mani, i did 3d acrylic kitties. i didnt have black acrylic powder so i made my kitties with white acrylic powder and then i just painted them black.

i've also used my bow mold and its the cutest thing everrr! i love it! the molds are sold at only $2.26! what a deal! BPS sells a bow mold, a kitty mold, and a stars + moon mold. there are different sizes of each shape on the mold.

the image plates are so cute! but applying isnt the easiest. when using Konad, you apply the polish, scrap off the excess, and then roll your stamper across the image, and roll the image onto your nail - right? well, BPS image plates dont exactly work like that. i tried those steps when i first used the image plates and most of the image wasnt picked up. but i learned the trick: instead of rolling across the image to pick it up, you have to PUSH DOWN on the image. every other step is the same though.

i used my white Konad stamping polish for the mani above. besides for that one issue about picking up with image, everything worked great! image plates run at different prices over at BPS, between $3.49-$22.32 ... depending if you buy one plate or if you buy the package.

SNSD Hoot Inspired Mani

honestly, i was going to write my review for the items from my awesome package today, but im not in the mood to be writing too much, so im going to post the mani i did last night.

another kpop inspired mani :D im not really big on girl groups but SNSD is one of the few that i like. they just came out with Hoot & so i decided to go along with that.

it was almost 1:20am last night when i was trying to finish my nails...but then my parents woke up, caught me painting my nails, and i got in trouble T__T so i didnt get to finish. my hands were awfully unsteady last night so everything looks so #$@%^&!!! :( im not too fond of this mani so i'll probably redo my nails tonight. he. he. hopefully i dont get caught this time -__-

Massive Greens + Award

as promised, i did a green mani for October since it is Depression Awareness Month as well as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

not really digging this mani. but it definitely fulfills the green. my sister got an awesome new lamp so i took pictures under it. my skintone looks different in each picture - so please excuse that.

Freakin Awesome Package!!

in my last post, i posted how angry i was that i missed my package..and that i had to wait until today to get it, i'll share with you what was in that package.

i woke up earlier than usual today so that i would be able to pick my package up from the post office first thing in the morning. with that being said... i have my package in my hands! [ just sayin'...i usually dont get mad for missing the mail man/a package & having to wait two days to pick up the package..but this package was too AWESOME that i was super mad i missed it! =P ]

here it is! the beauties that i've been waiting for! *drool.

last week, i received an email from Jessica over at Born Pretty Store to review some products - - of course i was more than willing to! Jessica was so sweet and she even let me pick out the items i wanted to try ♥ within three days or so, my package "came" to me [obviously, i missed it & i had to pick it up today.] - - so withing the next couple days to the next couple of weeks, expect some reviews coming your way :)

lets get a close up of the items, shall we?

a pack of nail art candy decoration [just the cutest!], a pack of glitters [sadly, two of the glitters opened & spilt inside the box during the ride over], and a pack of dried flowers [<3333]!

this one surprised me the most! Jessica sent over - not one, not two, but twelve image plates & a scraper + stamper!!!!! ♥

lastly, i got 3d image molds!! oh my gosh, i've wanted these for FOREVER & Jessica was so sweet & sent me 4 different mold designs! the pictures arent clear because the flash makes the images disappear in pictures so i had to use a picture w/o flash.. but i'll describe each mold for you. - - a bow with tails mold; a kitty mold; another bow mold but the bows dont have the tails; and stars & moons mold! - there are different sizes of each design on each block thingy.

now you understand why i was so mad when i missed my package on Saturday, right? :)

i mashed up a whole bunch of pink polishes & design for this. since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, i wanted to sport a fully pink mani. [& October is also Depression Awareness month so i plan to do a fully green mani too.]

i’ve been waiting for my package to come in allllllll week! and my brothers missed the mail man today & so i got this notice instead. right after i found the notice, i drove straight to the post office in hopes to pick it up before the post office closed at 2pm… but the package wasnt back from the mail man yet so now i have to wait til Monday to get my package. daaaaaamn. it was a bad ass package of nail stuff & i wanted to play with my new stuff. shiiiiiiiiiet. - - - but i guess i can wait til Monday morning.

Extravagant Zebra Mani

pretty simple mani. i shortened my nails down - a lot! and i like em short..but my nails look wide O__o

first off, any of my pictures beyond my last post will not be working / showing until next Sunday. i reached my max bandwidth on my photobucket - again. sorry. it sucks.

on Saturday, i went to Ulta - again. i ended up buying OPI DS Mystery, Essence Choose Me!, & i finally found China Glaze Something Sweet. !!

2 coats of OPI DS Mystery. a deep eggplant with gold flakes. you cant really see the mass gold flakes in this picture, but thankfully, you can see the tonsss of gold in the picture of the bottles. i got bored with just DS Mystery so i free-handed L0VE onto my nail.

Hauls, Swaps, & Blues

today has been a great day for me; this morning, i went to the school bookstore to sell my books since my online English class ended & i ended up dropping my History class - long story. i made $58 extra bucks. ^^ i headed to my Politics class to find out that class was canceled for the day. heck-freakin-yes!! i then raced over to the new Ulta that opened by my house & bought a few polishes. plus i went over to my favorite nail supply store - Skyline - and bought some more polishes. and now im eating a delicious bowl of curry while typing this :)

i havent had any major hauls recently but i've done a few swaps so i wanted to share those. starting with swaps..

this one is super overdue and this was also my first swap. toward the end of August, i posted about how much i wanted Catrice polishes & if anyone was willing to swap with me... an awesome reader - Hannah, from Germany, emailed me & we put a swap together. i got this package last month yet i havent posted til now. here are my first 5 Catrice polishes; I Scream Peach!, I Sea You!, Sold Out For Ever, Plum Play With Me, & From Dusk To Dawn.

this was a recent swap with Smita over at My Nailz. i expressed a LOT of interest in Joe Fresh, GOSH, & Etude House polishes. she was able to get me some bottles of each, so we swapped. Joe Fresh Mint, Powder Blue, & Butter. GOSH Silver & Ocean. Etude House WH004 & BL501. NYC Nail Color Pink Paradise, Sally Hansen Shocking Pink, and Ardene Matte About Blue.

this haul was from today. i finally picked up OPI Lincoln Park After Dark. and also Tickle My France-y, Tease-y Does It, Extra-Va-Vaganza!, & DS Extravagance. Essie Beach Party & Sew Psyched. Essence Sweet As Candy.

wheph! that took a LOT out of me! =X sad to say, i think i've only tried 3 polishes out of all of those posted above. i probably wont do swatches because i hate swatching. major props to all of you ladies who do swatches because i just cant stand swatching. its a dreadful thought so i avoid it.

onto todays mani, its just something simple.

i've got the blues - just kidding =P i used two coats of each polish: Sally Hansen White On, Avon Vintage Blue, China Glaze Bahamian Escape, OPI Ogre-The-Top Blue, & Studio M Get The Blues. i freakin love Get The Blues!

my cousins Homecoming was two weekends ago & i did her nails. shes all about simplicity so she just wanted a regular french tip mani but i was able to convince her to add glitter lines & rhinestones.

i've had this mani done since Wednesday but i havent really had time to post until now. this is another kpop inspired mani; the group name is Dalmatian, like the dogs, but they're clearly guys. ha. ha. they just recently debuted with their song, Round One, which i looooove.

just something simple. writing out "Dalmatian" wasnt really difficult..but i did mess up a bit. =P

B2ST Inspired Space mani

im not sure about you, but i hate Mondays; although i do hope that your Monday was well :) today is going to be another quick post. just a heads up, there are so many things running through my mind right now, im not sure if this post will make much sense. ha. ha.

moving on, space nails seem to be one of the new fads. with the help of Asami's space nail tutorial, i did a space mani with a slight twist. being the kpop ~~freak~~ lover that i am, i included a little bit of kpop in my mani. one of my favorite kpop groups is B2ST/BEAST; they just came out with a new album & so here is my space-twist version of B2ST's album cover.

it sucks that the holo glitters on my nails didnt get captured well in the picture - which made the whole space-effect look flat =/ not to mention that 2 with the line down the middle was a pain to draw.

Happy Saturday! its a freeeeeezing cold day with rain today...for me at least.

today, i have a tutorial to share. i recently received an email from Cyntia who asked about my giraffe mani [that i posted back in March] and for a tutorial. its quite simple and i was definitely glad to make a tutorial. btw, when my computer died on me, i lost my video editing program so i'll only be doing picture tutorials for a while.. =/

here's what we're aiming for..

ask requested, here are a picture of the materials i used.
a regular paint brush, nail dotting tool, Poshe's basecoat, China Glaze's For Audrey & Happy Go Lucky, Revlon's Hot For Chocolate, Sally Hansen's Black Out, and China Glaze's topcoat.

step 1: apply basecoat & base color.

step 2: take your dotting tool + dip it into your brown polish and create dots.

step 3: repeat step 2 but make smaller dots to fill in the empty spaces. make sure you dont do too many dots.

apply topcoat once the nail is dried & youre done with this part of the mani. onto the next part...

step 1: apply basecoat & base color.

step 2: using the regular paint brush, create a small circle for the head of the giraffe.

step 3: draw a line straight down for the neck.

step 4: to make the body of the giraffe, just make a half-circle at the bottom of the nail.

step 5: back to the dotting tool, use your black polish to make two eyes and two small dots for the nose. then use your brown polish to make the giraffe spots.

step 6: dont forget to dot the tips of the things on top of his head. [edit:] WHOOPS! i forgot to mention to draw two little lines at the sides of his head for the ears. please refer to this picture for the ears.

wait for the nail to dry and apply topcoat.

now you're done! and i apologize for the blurriness of some pictures..

honestly, thats such a lame title! -ahaha.

hello, hello! i apologize for my week disappearance! schools been kicking my ass and i cant seem to catch up o__O all the studying i do isnt really paying off. including today, back to last week, i've been packed with school work. i had two exams, three quizzes, an essay, and trying to memorize everything - - but it didnt really work out =( i didnt have time for my nails all week last week nor did i have inspiration. but today is a different story; i treated myself to a little polishing & i, literally, just finished this mani =P

this kinda explains my lame post title; each time i look at my nails, i think "HEY, MISTER!" ...for some odd reason =P i used Sally Hansen White On & Black Out. the half-moons took FOREVER & even with the help of paper reinforcements, i didnt like how they turned out..so i basically free-handed them. i also free-handed the little tuxedo which didnt take as long as i expected.

im freakin exhausted so im going to end it here.

NOX Twilight Swatches

hi! i've been a little MIA in the blog world lately, although i did try to pop my head in every so often to check out whats new. again for today, i dont have much to post.

its been about 2 weeks since my no-buy started back up; but i had to break my no-buy on Saturday when i walked into Meijer's to find the whole collection of NOX Twilight nail polishes! i, legit, went crazyyy to see them with my very eyes =P

i ended up picking up my two favorites;

Citrus & Poseidon.

$6.99 per bottle, which is the same price online. i've wanted these two polishes since the first time i saw swatches of them. total beauties! im not sure if im going back to pick up any more of the polishes cause im not really diggin them..but we'll see. i think i kinda like Talon.. =P

on to the swatches -

the beautiful Citrus. i believe this is two coats. Citrus was a bit goopy but it was manageable. coral-ish pink with an awesome gold shimmer. gosh. i have mixed feelings about this one. this was my #1 out of the collection but after i put it on, i didnt like it. then the next day, i woke up & loved it. then i didnt like it again, and then i fell in love with it again. ergh. i dont know how i exactly feel about it. =P

gorgeous Poseidon. three coats here. this one was watery but manageable as well. kinda like a sky blue + turquoise color. total beauty! love, love, love!

hi!~ its been a few days since my last post, i hope you've all been doing well :) the week is already halfway over! *yay

i dont have much to share today but its ok because im behind on my studying, so im behind on painting my nails, and so thats why im behind on posting this blogpost =P

i think this was two coats of Color Club's Worth The Risque. this polish came out in the same collection as Revvvolution. Revvvolution remains as my favorite holo and Magic Attraction is still my second favorite.

another angle of my nails; the holo-ness is pretty awesome. personal opinion..since the silver is already really dominant in the polish, the holo doesnt really outshine it. its still pretty though =)

after two days of just wearing Worth The Risque, i konaded a zebra print onto my ring finger since i was too lazy to free-hand it =P

here's three coats of Color Clubs High Society. two coats would've been fine but i did three cause i was too sleepy while i was doing this mani =P on the nails, the color is a lot darker than it is when its on the bottle... which was kinda disappointing but its still a pretty color. uhm, i was out of ideas so i combined my favorites - dots, stripes, and flowers - all into this one design. guess it kinda worked out =P

alright, gotta get back to studying!

Birthday Mani + Update

first off, thanks SO much for the birthday wishes! ♥ ♥ ♥

i know i sounded all depressed & it seemed like i wasnt looking forward to my birthday in my last post, but i wasnt depressed or anything. its just that...whenever i have high hopes for anything, especially a good day, anything & everything will go wrong. you do not know how bad my luck really is. so i always try to keep my hopes low cause i've been let down too many times -__-

but my birthday was pretty good! MUCH better than i expected. i worked for a good...6-7 hours & then i went out for dinner a Korean restaurant with my friends. thanks for all of you who hoped with me that the cute waiter was there..cause he WAS there!!!!! :D although i didnt get to stare at him often, i did get a few good looks at him [creeperrr. dont hate =P] i also got a free cheesecake from our waitress. oh, and my friends and i usually dont get each other presents on birthdays [we just usually eat & hang out] but i was surprised when a few of my friends bought me nail polishes, a shirt, and gave me a $10 gift card to Sallys ;)

here is a picture of my ugly birthday manicure.

totally random but thats how i usually do my nails =P i dont remember what polishes i used cause i was up til 2am changing the manicure. my middle finger is totally covered up in rhinestones; i've always wanted to do that so i figured that doing it on my birthday would be the best time :D i still dont like the mani but i dont hate it as much =P

i'd also like to add that i went to my second year of Korean class today ;)

seriously, i didnt make up my mind about class until last night RIGHT before i fell asleep. i was sooooo nervous for class today; i dont know why, but it went well! i need to study hard to prove to my parents that this class is worth it! i was also reallllly nervous to come home because i knew my mom would be pissed. which she was. well, she wasnt as mad as i thought she'd be, so that was good. [sarcasm] i got a REALLY GOOD lecture from my mom. [end sarcasm] but she'll be fine & get over it.

i wanna give a big THANK YOU to everyyyy single one of you for caring & supporting me & helping me. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

It's My Birthday!

today is my 20th birthday!

its nothing exciting. especially since birthdays are never great days for me. for the past two years, my birthdays have sucked. *tries to avoid flashbacks. i have a feeling that this year will be no different. you know that *icky feeling in your tummy? the uncomfortable, unknown burden sitting on top of your heart, weighing it down? yup. thats how i feel. i dont know why...

maybe its because i still dont have an official answer as to if im taking Korean class on Saturday or not? [ i did talk to my mom a bit about class; at first she was ok. and then yesterday, she was like "DONT. TAKE. IT!" and i dont really wanna argue with her about it on my birthday. ergh -__- ]maybe its because i have to work from 930am-5pm today? maybe its because my birthday mani is FAIL! i dont know what it is. but its alright.

but its not all downhill for me. after after work today, my sisters, some friends, & i are going to a Korean restaurant. there was a hot waiter there during the beginning of summer but toward the middle of summer, he disappeared. lets hope he makes an appearance ;) after dinner, im not quite sure what we're gunna do. but its all good with me.

oh, and this post has no ties in with nails, cause my birthday mani sucks. and im trying to fix it right now. haha

anyway, off to work in a bit.

Thank You + Manis

first off, i'd like to thank each of you ladies for giving me your thoughts and advice on my personal post last night. it really means a lot to me and i really appreciate you taking your time out to read my jibber and then give me your insight on the situation. i've read each comment a few times and im taking what you ladies say to heart; im still trying to add everything up together in my head so i still dont have a final answer. but thank you so, so, so much! if i could hug each of you, i really would :)

as i promised, im gunna lead this blog straight back to nails :) here is a few manis i've had over the past month in a half - i've just been behind on posting =P

i actually think this was from 2 months ago; haha. i was trying new designs & my younger sister, Kiana, let me practice on her. this is unusual because Kiana doesnt EVER let me paint her nails so while i had the opportunity to do her nails, i took it! :D doesnt her hand position kinda look funny? HAHA.

on the left side of the picture, i was using my new nail glitter that i picked up at Meijer. its just a purple glitter so i tried it over different colors. i believe the pinky is just fully glitter; no base color. on the right side of the picture, i was practicing plaid on the pointer finger. the middle finger has some fimo fruits along with a glitter gradient down the nail. i tried sponging on the ring finger; it actually turned out nice but Kiana wanted stickers on it so i added a few stickers. on the pinky, i tried out my new layering polish; it turned out alright and then, again, Kiana wanted a nail sticker on it.

- WOW! my hands look super pale! =/ - this is my first Catrice polish that i won from Sharana's giveaway some time last month. 3 coats of Catrice's Oriental Orange. the polish was much thinner than i expected but it applied beautifully. plus, this picture was taken after 4 days of wear..and the polish still looks great!, doesnt it? :D

also, last month, i bought my first Konad stuff. i got three plates - m57, m69, & m73. i also got a black Konad polish, the scraper & stamp - obviously - and the image plate holder - which isnt necessary. Konad is much easier than i expected and surprisingly, i havent used it very much yet. this mani was done when i first purchased my Konad stuff. but here is a picture of 2 coats of China Glaze's Bahamian Escape. the color is not accurate - its not as bright of a blue as the picture depicts. if you wanna see a better, color-accuate picture, check out my swatch here.

lastly, i have a more recent mani; well, this was from two weeks ago. i tried another glitter gradient using China Glaze's Medallion but you cant really see the gradient unless you look really fast & then look away. -haha. i ended up liking this mani a lot although theres not much to it.

i also wanna mention that i still have on my Teddy Mani, since Monday night!!!! i cant seem to bring myself to take it off! the mani still looks decent; my nails are [obviously] growing so theres a gap between my cuticles & the design but everything else still looks pretty good!

totally random, but im going on another No Buy next week. i have a few bottles that i need to pick up for a swap this week, and then im done for a while. im only mentioning this because i tend to do better when i publicly say this. its true. plus, my "untrieds" have been piling up! theres about 70 polishes i havent tried so i figure i should put use into those :) wish me luck that i'll succeed!

Personal, Non-Nail Related Post

i usually keep my life out of my posts; sometimes i'll complain about my day[s]..or i'll briefly describe my weekends, but generally, i dont like to get too personal. not that im shady or anything, but i dont get too personal with people very easily. with that said, im going to make an exception for today. i feel like im in a hole & i need different peoples advice. so if you dont mind reading about my slight issue, please continue on. if you'd rather stay out of it, its totally cool.

k. lets start. so, if you didnt know already, i LOVE Korean music; just a little more than a year & a half ago, my sister got me all addicted to kpop. & all & my mom thought i was a total freak! so last September, my sister, our friend, and i took a Korean class. [the class is NOT part of any college, so there isnt any credit earned.] my parents hated it but my mom hated it more than my dad. she thought we were just going to learn for the [hot] Korean guys, but really, we werent. plus, im not Korean so she thought it was a ridiculous idea to learn about another culture + language. but after the first semester ended, my sister & our friend didnt take the second semester but i loved it SO much that i took the second semester by myself. i guess i caught on pretty quickly cause i got moved up to the second level during my second semester only.

now that its September again, the Korean class is about to start - - next Saturday, the 11th, to be exact. [ ONE DAY AFTER MY 20TH BIRTHDAY!! - just sayin' ;) ] my little heart has already decided that it wants to take the class. i've already told my boss so my work days are already starting to work around the class. the only thing is that i havent exactly told my parents. i've tried talking to my dad about it & i just slightly brought it up & all he said was "dont waste your time, just finish college." i know if i bring it up to my mom, its gunna end UGLY so im avoiding that for as long as i can.

its $225 [or something] for a semester & i would obviously be paying for it myself - as i did in the other two semesters. but right now, money is a slight issue. since i got into my first car accident a few weeks ago, i need to save up to buy a new car. plus i, literally, had to pay out of my pocket for this semester at college since i was lazy & late and i didnt file for financial aid <--my mom is still SUPER pissed about that. but my mom was sweet & bought my books for me.

so my problem is... should i take a class that i really enjoy but my parents hate or should i not take it cause my parents dont want me to and i know i'll regret it ?? =(

i've only told four people about this problem of mine; my sisters both said "mom's gunna kill you." my cousin said i should just take it, and my awesome friend, Anouk, agreed and said to take it since i know im going to regret it later.

if you made it this far, thanks! <3 i really needed to get this off my chest cause EVERY time that i think about this, i go crazy - literally. i cant sleep because of this issue.

i'd really, REALLY, really appreciate some feedback. and again, sorry i had to get personal on this post =/ i'll get back to nails soon.

Viva La Nails Review

[ahh - this post has been long overdue.]

when i found out that the sweet people at Viva La Nails offer bloggers and youtubers sample packs [PLUS FREE SHIPPING!!], how could i resist?! well, honestly, i originally didnt want a sample pack..but after seeing everyone's sample packs & the awesome things you could do with it..i just knew i had to try a sample pack! plus, you know me & nail art..we're friends [sometimes] =P

once i signed up for my sample pack, i was SUPERRRR thrilled! but it look -literally- two full weeks for my sample pack to finally come to me. each & every day that i waited, i slowly started to think i wouldnt get it ..but thankfully, i was wrong :) by the end of the two weeks, i wasnt so thrilled anymore. so i've put off the samples til now.

today, im going to share with you the water decals that Viva La Nails offer. when i first saw everyone's posts about the water decals, i was wondering how "easy" it really was.

here is four coats of Milani's Creme Brulee. thats right, four coats *ugh. i hate doing more than three coats of polish. anyway, i loved the design of this decal. and yes, the water decals are really as easy as people say it is :)

recently, i used another water decal for a mani. just a simple french tip with pink [i cant figure out if the pink things are "glitters" or "dazzlings" oh well..] circle things. i really liked the look of the decal + pink things, but i hated the pink part of my mani - too pink for my likings.

Prince Charming Teddy

i just finished this mani and i cant wait to share it!

i havent done any legit free-handed nail art in a while & so this teddy bear was kinda my test to see if i've failed or not. it turned out much better than i expected..and i actually LOVE it!! so i guess i havent failed completely - yet ;P haha

two coats of Orly's Prince Charming; gorgeous milk-chocolate brown. for my pointer & ring finger, i used two coats of Sally Hansen's White On and then i layered two thin coats of Sally Hansen's Beige Blast over. i used Prince Charming & Beige Blast to make the dots & PC was also used to make Teddy.

Picture Problem + Top 50 Blogs

hi! :) i just have a really quick post today.

my pictures from my most recent post of China Glaze Swatches are currently disabled. normally, i would just reupload the pictures into a different photobucket account BUT [my genius-self] already deleted the pictures off of my computer. and i would usually just re-edit the pictures again BUT i have to go read 7 chapters for classes tomorrow. so i dont have time.

for the time being, the pictures arent gunna show up & youre just gunna see the ugly photobucket picture, but by the 28th [Saturday], my pictures will be reactivated so they'll be back to normal.

China Glaze Swatches

today was my first day of classes for the semester in my third year at a community college. i have two classes on campus - History & Politics - and im also taking my very first online class - an English class. back in high school, i was a VERY good student. i did everything on time, always did my homework, always studied, i've always been at the top of everything, and i graduated with a gpa higher than 3.8 ... ever since i've been in college, i've been a slacker, i skip classes, dont ever study, and i've been "average" in school. [not that being "average" is a bad thing..but thats just not my thing.] this semester, i REALLY want to do well. my classes are really time-demanding. im also picking up more hours at work on the days that i do not have classes, so im pretty much jam-packed. so i cannot guarantee lots of posts - not that i post very often right now anyway -__- ; but you know what i mean right? please bare with me~

that felt like a semi-heavy-mood-downing beginning of a blogpost. sorry! i just had to let you know.

well, let lighten things up with some random China Glaze swatches~ i wanna mention that my nails are short right now, and when i swatched these polishes last week, i had to put on fake nails cause i like swatching with full nails and not little nubbins.. =P

i have here 3 coats of Ruby Pumps. definitely a gorgeous red glitter jelly polish. i like this polish but i dont like it as much as others do.

3 coats of Emerald Sparkle. the picture is a bit blurry but it was the most color accurate picture i had. its a beautiful emerald glitter polish.

3 coats of Watermelon Rind. kinda blue-teal-green-ish with glitter.

3 coats of Ingrid. beautiful taupe-ish-brown with gold shimmer.

2 coats of Entourage. theres a slight shimmer in the kiwi-green polish.

2 coats of Bahamian Escape. my favorite. sky blue creme.

on my nubbins, i have 4 coats of Dreamsicle. this one was disappointing to me. its a beauty in the bottle, but i didnt really like it on my nails. i probably should have put a colored base on before i applied Dreamsicle. orange base polish with different size opalescent glitter. this is how the polish looks in real life - regardless of the bad picture. it looks prettier in pictures [better lighting pictures - that is] but i posted this one so you'll know how it really looks.

woohoo! its Friday! i hope your week has been well! the weekend is JUST around the corner! -not that im doing anything fun over the weekend..just working. hopefully your weekend will be better than mine =P

time to catch you up on some manis of mine.

here, i have 3 coats of Orly's Retro Red from their Plastix collection. besides for the bad picture, you can see finger indents & smudges on my nails. i painted my nails at midnight - like usual - and i didnt apply topcoat so that it can keep its satin-ish finish...and then i woke up with fugly nails =/ application of the polish was alright..and just to say, the picture shows the polish as RED..but when its on my nails, it looks more pink. weird, right?

next i have 3 coats of Essie's Van D'Go, which is the adorable peach-ish color, and 3 coats of Wet n Wild's Tropicalia. i sure do love my stripes & roses! haha

my nails had layers & then two of my nails chipped..so i had to chop off my nails. so now i have little nubbins for nails =P

my first mani with short nails. something simple. 3 coats of Revlon's Silver & 3 coats of Sally Hansen's Black Out. and then my free-handed leopard print.

Incoco Review

this is a review that has been long overdue! sorry it took so long! but here it is...

about a month ago, i was offered to try out some Incoco products - - of course i couldnt resist! Incoco Dry Nail Applique are strips of dry nail polish; basecoat, polish color, and topcoat.

i just want to mention that i tried my Incoco products before my computer crashed & deleted all my pictures..so i only have a few pictures.

here's my mani in Penny Rose; day 7. Penny Rose is a shiny, pink, glitter polish strip...but after 7 days, the shine died a little. the mani still looked nice and fresh; Penny Rose was definitely my favorite!

french mani in 24 Karat Gold; day 1.

day 5. pretty much looks like day 1, right?

overall, i really enjoyed the products. applying may be a bit tricky but once you get the hang of it, its really easy. the mani's really last a long time and there's no stinky polish smell! be sure to buff your nails before applying the Incoco products. and removal was easy. - - Penny Rose was really easy to apply and so were the tips of 24 Karat Gold. but the clear strips for the french mani were thinner so they took a little more work.

onto nails.. so i finally picked up my first three bottles of Color Club about 2 or 3 weeks ago. i first tried Revvvolution and i fell in love with it! oh my gosh. it is GORGEOUS! i've always read a lot about it on blogs so when i found it, i decided to pick up a bottle for myself.

look at that holo-goodness <3 Revvvolution is a black holo polish. its pure love!

this is Revvvolution in the shade. not as awesome..but once it hits sunlight..

AMAZING!!! i seriously LOVE this polish :)

once again, these pictures were taken with my phones camera. im soooo impressed that my phone was able to pick up the holo-awesomeness of the polish! i love my phone!! haha

so, im super excited for Thursday! im working today & tomorrow and then im off work until next Thursday!!! a full week off! woohoo!!! :) this weekend is all planned out but hopefully i'll be able to swatch some stuff next week. my cousin & her husband are coming up from South Carolina to visit so we're gunna spend the whole weekend with them. we're off to Cedar Point on Friday & then we're going shopping Saturday & maybe the beach on Monday. it'll be fun ;)

i'll be back to post one more time this week before i take the weekend off. haha

on my random manis..

3 coats of OPI's Heart Throb. Heart Throb is a super sheer, soft pink. i still had major VNL after 3 coats & i didnt want to go onto a 4th coat so i layered up my nails with nail stickers and some glitter.

the angle of this picture is weird..but its ok. 3 coats of China Glaze's Nasty. i think 2 coats would've been fine but i did 3 to be safe. please excuse the ugly design on the ring finger. my dots werent as spaced out as i wanted them to be.. =/

2 coats of Revlon's Silver. the stickers had ugly bubbling around it.. =/

here is the same mani but matte-ified. and a coat of Sally Hansen's Hidden Treasure on my thumb, middle finger, and pinky. and i filed down my nails. i like the subtleness of HT =) please excuse the horrible lighting in this picture. the polish looks blue-ish..ew. bad picture =/

OPI's Rumple's Wiggin & Funkey Dunkey mani. that silver blob on my ring finger is supposed to be a heart but my silver glitter polish got too goopy =/ and the pink part of the french mani is too pink - i hated it.

IM BACK! + Fruit Fimo Mani

yay! im back! its almost been 3 weeks...wow!

i posted a blog post last week or something & then all of a sudden, it disappeared! totally weird! so i'll just recap last weeks post right now;

since my computer broke [3 weeks ago] - - i have been slacking on nail art & all. honestly, it got so bad that when i went to repaint my nails one night, my hands were super shaky & unsteady. and i was just trying to paint my nails, no fancy nail art! it was quite sad =/ i also mentioned in my last post that disappeared that i havent been up to date with blogs. i started slacking & i wasnt reading blogs much. sorry! but i will say that i've been digging through old posts..trying to catch up! theres a lot that a girl misses in 3 weeks, ya know!? haha im trying though =P so now that im slowly trying to catch up, i'll be commenting your blogs again!

while i was out, i did manage to pick up a few polishes. here's my hauls:

in my last post [the one from the 12th of July], i mentioned that i picked up OPI's Rumples Wiggin, Who The Shrek Are You?, & Heart Throb.

since i have much to share with you, i dont wanna throw them all into this post so i'll just post my current mani & then i'll catch you up with everything later on.

sorry for the bad, blurry picture. its too hot outside & im kinda crabby so the heat wasnt making me feel better. haha but here's 3 coats of Wet n Wild's Tropicalia; i've had this polish for almost 2 months so i decided to finally try it out. its such a gorgeous pink-salmon color! for the stripes on my ring finger & thumb, i used two coats of my favorite Sally Hansen White On and then i used acrylic paint to make my colorful stripes. i used my fruit fimo & layered them on my nails. i added a few rhinestones & glitters onto my nails. the green rhinestones & [barely noticable] pink glitter are from my Viva La Nails package. [a review will be coming along soon..]

here's a picture from my phones camera. the pink looks a little darker but you can see the details on my fruit nails better. dude, my phones camera is pretty awesome! it takes great pictures--i think it takes better than my regular camera does. haha

Sad News

i know i havent been posting lately, but i have a good reason...well, two reasons.

first off, almost two weeks ago, i received an email from Julie of Incoco who generously offered to send me a sample pack of their products. the products came in last week & so i tried them on. i was going to post a review on the products after a week of wearing them - - one reason.

secondly, my computer died! its soooo sad because i had pictures of swatches that i uploaded onto my computer but didnt edit nor upload onto photobucket...those are all gone! i also took daily pictures of my nails while wearing Incoco for my review...those pictures are all gone!

i dont know when my computer will be fixed...cause we have to buy new parts & whatever. sooo i cant guarantee any nails/polish posts any time soon =(

lets go to better news..

so i went back to Skyline Beauty Supply on Sunday & i bought the last two bottles of OPI's Shrek collection; Rumples Wiggin & Who The Shrek Are You? . i also picked up OPI's Heart Throb.

i forgot to mention, Skyline also sells Essie..for $4.95 per bottle! WHAT A DEAL! but it gets better!!!! if you're a nail student, the prices are EVEN LOWER! they said Essie would be $2.95 if i was a nail student or if i go in with a nail student. thankfully, my brother's girlfriend is a student & she's willing to go in with me! and that means the prices on the rest of the polishes would be lower too! YEEE! so excited ;)

i might as well mention it now...i finally decided to get a free sample pack of nail art stuff from Viva La Nails. i placed my order in & i got an email this morning saying they shipped me my package..so hopefully i'll get it in this week. i also have a few more Incoco nail strips..so i will have a review on them! whenever i try them again.

its Thursday...woo~

the week is almost over & i think this is my second time posting this week? yea..its another slow week for me.. =/

anyway, here's my Orly mini-haul from last week;

yesterday, i stopped by Sally's to pick up another bottle of cuticle cream & i also picked up VII & Ruby Pumps. i've been contemplating on Ruby Pumps for a loooong while now & i finally decided to grab myself a bottle. after Sallys, i went to the mall where i found a dress for my cousins wedding next weekend & i picked up the unnamed Charlotte Russe polish. on my way to the mall, i saw a new beauty supply store that just recently opened so i called to see if they are opened to the public..and thankfully, they are! so after the mall, i stopped by the store, which is called Skyline Beauty Supply. they had sooooo many display cases for OPI's & one huge case for Essie. then random little cases for Orly & China Glaze. at the counter was OPI's Shrek collection -- the one that i've been wanting to get my hands on since they first came out! sitting next to the Shrek collection was the summer collection of OPI. i asked the lady for the price of OPI's & she said "$5.95" and i almost lost it. i was so excited! $5.95!!!!!!!! then i picked up a bottle of CG's Nasty. CG are $4.95 at Skyline. sadly, after the mall, i only had $30 left =/ so i was only able to pick up 5 bottles of polishes...but trust me. im going back to Skyline soon!! :)

last night, i was able to make my second video tutorial. it was a request from Jakyla on tumblr.

in the video, it shows how i apply my rhinestones -- so for those of you who have been wondering how i put my rhinestones, pearls, or googly eyes on my nails..its in the video.

last night, i was also able to try out my new unnamed Charlotte Russe polish. here are pictures from an hour ago..

here's 3 coats. 2 coats would've been fine, but i was painting my nails at 1am so i didnt do too well... =P its a dark, charcoal gray polish with silver & iridescent glitter. the polish kind of reminded me of a night sky with stars shining...so i added little stars onto my ring finger for something subtle.

personal opinion: the polish looks prettier in the bottle. look at that glitter in the bottle! its a beauty! i think its a little too dark when its applied.

Elmo themed! my baby nephew turned 1 on Saturday & his party was Elmo themed. for some reason, he really likes my nails..so i decided to do my nails according to his party theme.

2 coats of Wet n Wild's Cherry Pop. 3 coats of Sally Hansen's White On. acrylic paint. and googly eyes.
