Splotted Mani;

hi~

Not exactly sure what to call this mani .. they're not exactly spots nor were they splattered onto my nails. Here is a tutorial on how I achieved this look. Since I did this mani a few months back, I'm not exactly sure what polishes I used, sorry~ I received the silver chains from Born Pretty Store.

A few days later, my mani was still holding up strong so I reused the mani, switched up a few colors, added some studs, and changed my nail shape...

Don't forget, you are always more than welcomed to use my coupon code & save 10% off your order when you order from Born Pretty Store!~ Here's the code is 'KL5X31' :)

Incoco Nail Appliqués;

hi~

The last time I used Incoco appliques were back in 2010; lucky for me, I received some newer Incoco Nail Appliqués earlier in the summer. Unfortunately, here I am, just now finally getting around to posting them.

For July 4th, I used Incoco's Shooting Stars with China Glaze First Mate and Essie Red Nouveau.

This is Electric Wave & Sunkissed; looove the color combo!

Here is Amped Up, it's actually less fuschia and more hot pink irl.

Gradient Concert Mani;

hey :)

Back in July, I went to two concerts back-to-back, a One Direction and a Jonas Brothers concert. I was a bit unsure of what mani to wear since I didn't have time to do a 1D mani and a JB mani (since the concerts were back-to-back). So, I pulled out the customized polish that I ordered from Shimmer Polish. Cindy helped create a beautiful peach, gold, and black polish that I customized for my friend Anouk. Ironically, Anouk and I met through Jonas Brothers and she actually introduced me to One Direction .. so what better polish to use, right? :D

I forget what polish I used as base, but here is my glitter gradient with my customized Shimmer Polish nail polish, Anouk. I LOVE IT! I was a bit reluctant on the colors at first, but Cindy did a beautiful job creating this polish.

Oh, speaking of my friend Anouk, she just recently created a beauty blog, Beauty and Rambles. Please be sure to check out her blog.

Be sure to check out Shimmer Polish for more beautiful polishes. If you want to customize your own polishes, you can check out this Contact/Purchase page.

Have a good day!,

Leopard Print Mani;

hey,

I did this mani back in July 0__o (wheph, soooo behind ...) I used Essie's Mesmerized (the royal blue), Revlon's Elegant (the base for my pointer nail), and Rimmel's Black Satin for my ring finger nail and the design of the leopard print. I don't remember what I used to fill in the leopard print, sorry~

Gradient Stripe Mani + Tutorial;

hi~

Looks like I'll have to post using my Instagram photos for a while since I have a lot of manis to catch you up on & the whole computer thing is taking much longer than expected.

This design was inspired by Qui Eyelash Nail. I used OPI's Don't Burst My Bubble as base and Orly's Frisky (turq blue) & Essie's Mesmerized (royal blue) for the gradient. I don't usually use tape for my manis, but I did this time. I made a short tutorial on how I did this mani, you can check it out on my Instagram here.

Nail Art Society - I Love Studs kit;

hi~

As previously mentioned before, I am part of Nail Art Society's panel of Artists (previously Gurus). With that, I get the chance to try the kits & come up with manis before the subscribers receives the kit. You can subscribe and receive kits for $11.95 (+ shipping) a month, if you have any questions, check out how it works.

For this upcoming kit, if you subscribe by October 15, you will receive the I Love Studs kit, curated by Emily. In this kit, you will receive the following ...

Jessica polish in Black Matte, gold, hot pink, bright purple, and bright orange studs.

Here is what I came up with ... I used Black Matte as base, I used Jessica's Black Lustre for the stripes and on my thumb, and then used the gold studs that came in the kit.

Here is another angle of my nails which shows the zebra stripes a bit more.

If you're interested in this kit, be sure to Nail Art Society~

Serum No. 5 FW 13 Collection Swatches + Review;

hi~

It's been a while since my last post, hope all has been well~

A while ago, Victoria, of Serum No. 5, sent me over her new FW 13 collection so here are swatches to share :)

Best Witches, 3 coats. I love the glitter combo in this one. Gray based polish with yellow, blue, purple, white, & holo glitters.

Rise and Grind, 2 coats. So sparkly and the glitter combo (brown, copper, gold, and white) just compliments each other so well! .. those white glitters! 8) The second picture, the blurry one, is to show the tiny gold glitters in the base.

Samba-dy To Love, 2 coats. Can we just take a moment and enjoy the name of this polish? It's adorable!! Red, blue, orange, and purple glitter mixed in a clear base.

Acai of Relief, 3 coats. Blue / purple duochrome, I loved this one much more than I thought I would. In other lightings, it looks way more purple.

Second Spring, 2 coats. The cutest polish, ever! I love this one. Off-white base, gold shimmer, and multi-colored and sized glitters.

Jaded, 3 coats. Light green holo.

Mauvelous, 2 coats. Pink holo.

A Cup of Teal, 2 coats. Blue holo; I couldn't get a decent photo of the holo-ness :( .. but trust me, it's MUCH stronger irl.

For the holos, they were all easy to apply. My photos don't do justice on the amazing holo-ness of the polishes.

Atomic Peach, 4 thin coats. Beautiful shade of peach that glows yellow-green.

Pink Lantern, 2 coats. Pink that glows yellow-orange. Pink Lantern was released last year and Victoria brought it back for a limited time for the month of October only .. so be sure to pick it up before it's too late!~

A big thanks to Victoria for sending over the polishes. As always, be sure to check out Serum No. 5~

BPS Nail Foil #27 Mani + Review;

Hi~

Apologies on the lack of updates, my computer is being all weird lately & it keeps dying and -- yea, it's just very troublesome. Moving on, I want to share with you a mani I did using nail foil #27 from Born Pretty Store. The foil comes in a roll (as pictured below); there's a lotttt to the roll as well.

The base is 2 coats of Zoya's Trixie. I applied Trixie, once that dried, I applied a coat of clear nail polish - I let that get a bit tacky, then cut a few pieces of the foil and dabbed those pieces (of the foil) on my nails ... which with left me with this result. I like it, it was a quick & easy mani.

The foils are very easy to use; I read a few reviews saying there's nail foil glue which helps transfer the foil better .. but I don't have the foil glue so I just used my clear nail polish with worked decently.

Born Pretty Store has wide variety of nail foils so be sure to check those out~ As always, a big thank you to Nicole of Born Pretty Store. Don't forget, you are always more than welcomed to use my coupon code & save 10% off your order when you order from Born Pretty Store!~ Here's the code is 'KL5X31' :)

Iconic Luxury Nail Colour Swatches & Review;

hey~

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by April of Iconic Lifestyle, who just launched her new line of nail polishes, Iconic Luxury Nail Colour. She sent me three polishes from the Parisian Socialite collection to review.

First up is 2 coats of French Kiss. A muted lavender with silver shimmer. Unfortunately, these kind of colors give me slight lobster hands, but regardless, FK was very easy to apply and it looks beautiful.

2 coats of Merci Me; ooooh, I love this one! A dusty, muted seafoam with silver and (I think) pink & blue shimmer, but the silver is a lot more dominant. The pink shimmer was a bit more noticeable irl.

2 coats of I CAN CAN Shop. Bright raspberry pink with some coral undertones and pink shimmer; absolutely b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!

All 3 polishes were easy to apply; Merci Me was a tad bit thicker than the other two but it's easy to work with. A big thanks to April for the polishes; be sure to check out the Iconic Lifestyle site to see the rest of the Iconic Luxury Nail Colours.

Precision Nail Lacquer - Oasis Collection Review + Swatches;

hey :)

For today, I want to share some swatches of Precision Nail Lacquer polishes, more specifically, polishes from their Oasis Collection.

3 coats of Sage. There is a silver shimmer that runs through the polish, you can kind of see the shimmer in my photos; Sage is actually a tiny bit darker irl.

3 coats of Sandstorm; squishy, jelly goodness :) Sandstorm leans a bit more 'camel' toned irl.

2 coats of Been There Dune That; it's a bit darker irl. BTDT builds up really easily and has taupe / mauve undertones.

3 coats of You’re in De-Nile River, is that not the cutest name or what? :) Brownish with mauve undertones.

2 coats of Sahara Deserted Me; loooove this one! A dusty rose-ish jelly; builds up really easily.

2 coats of Scorpion King. Charcoal base with silver and multi-colored shimmer.

A macro of the shimmery goodness~

The polishes are easy to work with and beautiful! Precision Nail Lacquer's run for $5.95 on the site, be sure to check them out :) A big thanks to Ernest for sending me the collection to review~
